A Preston barbershop owner has been looking for love on Channel 4’s First Dates.

Danny Andrews visited the First Dates restaurant, which opens its doors to single people looking for love.

However it’s not Danny’s first time on the telly.

In 2007, he appeared on BBC Three documentary Baby Faced Bodybuilders.

Danny went viral after explaining his daily diet of fish and rice cakes in great detail, becoming known as Fish and Rice Cake Guy.

After his date Abbie arrives, Danny asks if she’s heard of “the guy who goes on about fish and rice cakes”.

Abbie, a cruise ship singer, says she has and asks if it’s Danny, to which he replies, “Unfortunately, yeah”.

Danny, who owns Danny’s Barbers in Cadley, also admits he’s been trying to settle his pre-date nerves with alcohol.

While ordering a Pornstar Martini, he says to Abbie: “I’ve had five beers before I came out so it’ll hit me in a sec.”

Danny also returns to the First Dates restaurant on Tuesday 2 February to meet teaching assistant Lauren.
