Myerscough College have announced that they have cancelled their 2021 Open Day and Country Fair.
Due to take place on 6 June, the decision has been made to cancel the popular event due to the ongoing pandemic.
A spokesperson for Myerscough College said: “We are bitterly disappointed to have to take this course of action, but feel an early decision is in everybody’s best interests, given the current situation facing the country and the uncertainty of what the upcoming months may hold.
“The event is proudly one of Lancashire’s premier summer tourism days out. Given the overwhelming success of our 2019 event, which was shortlisted in the category of Event of the Year at the Lancashire Tourism Awards, and the cancellation in 2020, we were so excited for what we were due to bring you for 2021.
“We had considered the possibility of moving the event to later in the year, but logistically this was very difficult, and the ongoing uncertainty of when the situation might return to normal means planning is impossible.”
