Investigation launched into the cause of a fire at commercial building in Cottam

At 9:39am on Wednesday, 20 January, eight fire engines from Fulwood, Preston, Penwortham, Leyland, Wesham, Chorley, Longridge and Blackpool, and an aerial ladder platform from Blackburn, attended a fire at a commercial building located on Tabley Lane, Higher Bartle, Cottam.

The fire impacted an industrial unit approximately 60m x 20m in size.

Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera mounted on the aerial ladder platform to combat the fire.

No casualties were reported. Crews are now damping down and an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
