A new fundraising initiative is launching in Penwortham for the New Year.

Penwortham Run Fest is aiming to raise money and also help people get fit and healthy by going on walks, runs or bike rides.

Pax the Panda is stuck in Penwortham, Australia and is trying to get home to his girlfriend, Penny the Panda in Penwortham, Lancashire.

The more people that sign up to watch his virtual around the world adventure and join him on walks, runs and cycles so that the collective movement will help Pax move forward.

All proceeds from the sign up fee will be donated to local charities NF1 Army, St Catherine’s Hospice, Baby Beat and Lancashire Mind.

From the Friday 1 January 2021, participants can screenshot or share to the Penwortham Run Fest page all the cycles, walks, runs they do to help motivate each other to stay fit.
