The Office of National Statistics is recruiting for field team members in Preston and South Ribble to help deliver the Census 2021.
The census, which happens every 10 years, counts every person and household in England and Wales. The information collected helps with decisions on planning and funding services in local communities.
Among the vacancies, around 26,500 temporary Census Officer roles are available across England and Wales, with pay starting from £11.22 per hour.
The role involves visiting different properties in an assigned area, making people aware of why the census is important, and encouraging them to respond.

The Census Officer recruitment drive is being held over three phases.
Applications for the first intake close today (Tuesday 19 January), for the second intake on Wednesday 27 January, and for the third intake on Monday 8 February.

There are no fixed daily normal working hours, but work must be carried out during set periods.
