Barclays is set to close 63 of its branches in the first three months of 2021.

One of the branches being closed is the bank in Leyland in Balfour St in the town centre.

Closures are happening as more and more people move to online banking, however some of the banks being closed have seen an increase in store usage in the past two years.

No date has been given for exactly when the Leyland branch will close.

Barclays said: “With more customers choosing to bank in different ways, we are carefully reducing the number of under-used branches we have.”
