Three lanes of M6 at Junction 31 reopen after crash

Emergency services had closed three lanes of the M6 southbound at Preston.

A crash between Junction 31A (Red Scar/Bluebell Way) and Junction 31 (Tickled Trout) saw traffic officers and police on scene.

The crash took place on the southbound carriageway shortly before 10am on Thursday (31 December).

There are delays between the two junctions and the lane closures were lifted around 11am.

One lane remained open past the scene of the crash.

Elsewhere police are warning motorists to take care on side roads, especially in Garstang and Wyre where there’s black ice warnings in place.
