New high-end salon Hudson Tanning and Beauty has opened in the former HW Music shop in Heatley Street off Friargate.

With top-of-the-range sunbeds and body vibration machines, the salon aims to boost mental and physical wellbeing. Also on offer are treatments including nail services, semi-permanent make-up, eyelash extensions, massage therapy and Aesthetics.

The owner of the salon, who holds a Masters in Cosmetology, decided to move into tanning after identifying a gap in the market in Preston.

After plenty of research to find the most advanced, relaxing and safe option, they decided to open under the Hudson name.

Not only do Hudson have the best machines on the market and use innovative technology, their salons put the focus on health as well as providing a luxury experience.

The new Preston salon is no different, with four lie-down hybrid beds – a Luxura Vegaz, a Porsche Design P9 and two Megasun 8000 models – plus one stand-up hybrid.

These highly advanced machines have two performance lamps that stimulate the skin to produce higher levels of collagen and Vitamin D. Thanks to this, the skin gains elasticity, hydration and melanin production.

Clients can even connect to Bluetooth, pick their own music, and switch on the tanning experience with a gentle mist to make it feel like being back on the beach!

Meanwhile the salon’s Hypervibe Whole Body Vibration machines can do wonders for muscle strength, blood circulation and skin tone during just a short 10-minute session.

With four different settings from 6hz-28hz, the body vibration machines can help with different goals – from joint mobilisation to neurological stimulation and improved bone density.

The machines are available for unlimited use in the salon with a £20 monthly pass, and are also available to rent at home.

On the first floor of the salon there are five individual treatment rooms offering nail services, semi-permanent make-up, eyelash extensions, massage therapy and Aesthetics.

All these services are set to a luxurious backdrop of soft lights and relaxing music.

Of course, with the Covid-19 pandemic ongoing, the salon follows strict guidelines to provide a safe environment as well as an enjoyable experience.

Located in Heatley Street, the salon is handy for the UCLan campus and has the city centre on its doorstep. Parking is convenient with three car parks close by. Should a client ever have trouble with pay and display machines, the friendly salon staff will be happy to help.

Hudson Tanning and Beauty Preston is open for tanning from Monday to Saurday, 9.30am to 8pm. Beauty appointments can be booked with the individual therapist.
