Snow and ice warning for Preston and Lancashire issued from Sunday evening

As Storm Bella continues to build there’s a furtner weather warning issued for Preston and Lancashire.

The Met Office have warned of snow and ice from 6pm on Sunday (27 December).

The yellow weather alert, the lowest level, is in force through until 10am on Monday (28 December).

Forecasters say ‘an area of rain, sleet and snow will move south throughout Sunday night for the potential for icy surfaces and some travel disruption.’

Temperatures throughout Sunday will struggle to get above four degrees and will drop to freezing overnight.

A weather warning for strong winds and heavy rain is already in force for Preston and Lancashire from 3pm on Saturday (26 December) through until 12noon on Sunday (27 December).
