Danny Carberry, also known as Danny O’Hara, 82, passed away Thursday 10 December at Royal Preston Hospital.
His funeral took place today (18 December) at Preston Crematorium.
Son Danny Cee wrote an emotional tribute on social media detailing what an amazing man his father was.
He also released a set of pictures in memory of his father to Blog Preston.
He wrote: “He played for a long time at the Golden Ball in Longton and the Ship Inn on the docks.
“He was a plumber by trade and he had his leg amputated 12 years ago after retirement.
“Most recently he was typically seen flying about Preston on his electric scooter telling his classic jokes as he always did.
“He was also seen doing karaoke around Preston.”
Instead of flowers, Danny would appreciate donations to the British Heart Foundation.
Danny thanked the nurses who cared for his father until he died.
