TV presenter Ranvir Singh said she’s ‘blown away’ to be in the semi-finals of Strictly Come Dancing.

Ranvir and her professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice impressed in the quarter-finals with an emotional Viennese Waltz, gaining three nines from the judges.

Speaking to Claudia Winkleman on the Sunday night Strictly results show, a visibly thrilled Ranvir said: “What’s happening!

“I found the launch show really hard and then we’re here! I’m totally blown away.

“Thank you so much for voting, it’s unbelievable. Totally, genuinely unbelievable.”

Judge Motsi Mabuse was moved to tears after Ranvir and Giovanni’s performance on Saturday night, saying she thinks every mother has a connection to single mum Ranvir.

On the results show, Motsi said: “Ranvir is emotionally touching a lot of women and mums who go through similar things in life.

“Seeing her being proud of herself and what she’s producing… It’s just so much more than dancing what she’s putting on the dance floor.”
