Preston and South Ribble’s latest coronavirus cases have been confirmed.
Figures for Sunday (27 December) show the city recorded 44 new Covid-19 cases.
South Ribble saw 23 new cases for the same day.
Wyre recorded 25 new cases, Ribble Valley 22 and Fylde 11 new cases.
Infection rate data, from the Public Health England dashboard, shows Preston’s Covid-19 rate has fallen back week-on-week.
The city’s coronavirus infection rate is 240.3 cases per 100,000 people for the seven days to December 23, compared to 253.6 for the seven days to December 16.

South Ribble’s rate, for the same date periods, is now 190.5 up from 183.2.
Wyre’s rate is 157.9, up from 146.3.
Fylde is 177, up from 101.5.
Ribble Valley is now 367.9, up from 244.7, and above many tier-4 restriction areas in terms of infection rate.

Preston and Lancashire are in tier-3 restrictions, and the government is due to review the tier measures on December 30 and announce whether there will be any changes.
