One person taken to hospital after two-car crash at Preston Docks

A road in Preston has been blocked following a ‘nasty crash’.

Emergency services are at the scene of the collision on Mariner’s Way near Preston Docks this afternoon (16 December).

The road has been blocked near McDonald’s, with police, two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle on scene.

Two vehicles are reported to have collided in the incident.

Eye witnesses have said the traffic is barely moving.

Major delays are being reported in the area, including along Powis Road, which is reportedly being used as a diversion route.

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 11:28am to reports of the RTC on Mariners Way.

“Two ambulances and a response car arrived on scene. We’ve taken one patient to hospital with minor injuries.”
