A planning application has been submitted to turn the former Toys R Us store, Deepdale Shopping Park into a new gym.
AdvertisementThe application proposes to change the internal layout of the proposed mezzanine floor level which would include a reduction in the size to the retail area and an increase of the gym area.
The Deepdale plans have been recommended for approval if they meet certain guidelines.

This includes providing a financial contribution towards upgrading the traffic signals at the junction with the site to Blackpool Road.
Back of house staff space would reduce from 122sqm to 118sqm.
Internal changes would also consist of alterations to the proposed layout of the gym and repositioning of the staircase/escalators.
