Members of a Broadgate church are revealing a new advent window display each day in the run up to Christmas.
With most Christmas events cancelled this year due to Covid-19, St Stephen’s Church parishioners have created the ‘Share the Light’ Advent Trail as a way to spread some festive cheer in the local community.
A downloadable plan shows where to visit each evening until 24 December to see a newly decorated window.
Judging by the displays revealed so far, it looks as though the Bird Street church can count some talented creatives among its members.
Rev Dave Hanson, Vicar of St Stephen’s, said: “Christmas this year is going to be different for all of us including the church!
“Light is a very important theme for Christians as Jesus said, ‘I am the Light of the world’.
“Christmas is when we celebrate his birth, and we thought one way we could share that light was by creating an Advent Window Trail in our local community.”
