Warning over people in Preston impersonating Covid marshals

A scam warning has been issued by Preston City Council.

The city council says there have been reports in the city of people impersonating Covid marshals.

A spokesperson for the council said: “Marshals do not have the right to access your home.

“Their role is to provide information and guidance to the public.

“Always ask for identification and if you’re unsure or suspicious contact the police.”
