This is a temporary closure from Tuesday 17 November to Thursday 19 November.

A spokesperson from Preston City Council told Blog Preston: “As part of ongoing repair and maintenance of the Guild Hall, a number of metal sections to window frames need replacement.

“In order to protect vehicles and pedestrians from risk of damage or injury whilst these works are undertaken, an urgent closure to the roads adjacent to the areas affected has been put in place.”

The notice states that ‘No person shall cause any class of traffic’ Lancaster Road or Lord Street, due to urgent repair works at an unsafe building.

The building was being used by filmmakers but has remained closed to the public.

The project is expected to include actors who have appeared in Game of Thrones, but this has not yet been confirmed.

It is thought that the project may be a black comedy, according to the Lancashire Post.
