A train driver was attacked at Preston Railway Station this morning (Monday 9 November).
British Transport Police (BTP) reported that the train driver saw an argument underway between two young people on the platform.

He became concerned and stepped in to intervene.
When he started to separate the two, the female punched him in the face.
The punch broke his glasses and cut his nose.

BTPolice have the details of all those involved and enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A tweet from BTP Lancashire said: “A train driver at Preston saw an argument occurring between two juveniles on the platform, and being concerned he stepped in to separate the pair.
