Suspected arson at former Royal Garrison pub in Fulwood

A joint investigation into a fire at the former Royal Garrison pub is underway.

Preston Police and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service are looking into the suspected arson, which took place last night (Tuesday 17 November).

Firefighters were called to the derelict building in Sir Tom Finney Way in Fulwood at around 8.40pm.

Two fire engines were in attendance and an aerial ladder platform was used to find the fire on the third floor of the building.

Crews using breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a ventilation unit extinguished the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for around one hour and 20 minutes.
