The Sir Tom Finney Preston Soccer Centre & Football club have been awarded the Kick it Out ‘Promoting Inclusion Award’ at the Pitching In North West Football Awards 2020.
AdvertisementCelebrating North West football for 13 years, the Pitching In North West Football Awards were launched to celebrate the region’s brightest and best in the game.

Peter Mason, Chairman of the Sir Tom Finney Preston Soccer Centre & Football Club, said: “To say I am very pleased that the Sir Tom Finney Preston Soccer Centre and Sir Tom Finney FC have been awarded the Kick It Out Promoting Inclusion Award is a big understatement.
“I am delighted that all the hard work of over 150 volunteers has been recognised at such a prestigious awards ceremony. It has been a long process, over 22 years, but it has been worth it.

“We now provide football coaching, football coaching qualifications and competitive football opportunities to disabled children and adults, refugee/asylum seeker children and adults, disadvantaged children and able-bodied children from the age of 4 years to 16 years.
“In addition, we have 2 open-age ladies’ teams, 3 open-age men’s teams, an over 35 veterans’ team and 2 girls only teams.
