Kay Thompson from Winning Moves UK, the company with the official license to produce official regional games across the world said: “The game has sold out way beyond our expectations. It’s now one of our very best sellers anywhere in the world.”

And a delighted Cllr. David Borrow added: “I think it’s great that even in a lockdown so many copies of Preston’s very own MONOPOLY have been sold!”

Head of UK Sales at Winning Moves, Ms Thompson, adds: “It seems the board has put a smile on peoples’ faces in these exceptionally challenging times. It could well be the perfect lockdown gift over Christmas if the worst happens then.

“We were wonderfully spoilt for choice putting the game together and would like to thank everyone who sent in suggestions when we went through a public consultation process earlier this year.”
