There’s just one month until Christmas and the brand new Preston Monopoly game looks like it’s heading for the top spot on the retail charts.
The official Preston Monopoly edition of the world’s most famous board game, which only hit the shops late last month, has been proving the perfect ‘lockdown’ gift for Christmas having sold out on all of its first two print runs.

Kay Thompson from Winning Moves UK, the company with the official license to produce official regional games across the world said: “The game has sold out way beyond our expectations. It’s now one of our very best sellers anywhere in the world.”
And a delighted Cllr. David Borrow added: “I think it’s great that even in a lockdown so many copies of Preston’s very own MONOPOLY have been sold!”
Head of UK Sales at Winning Moves, Ms Thompson, adds: “It seems the board has put a smile on peoples’ faces in these exceptionally challenging times. It could well be the perfect lockdown gift over Christmas if the worst happens then.
“We were wonderfully spoilt for choice putting the game together and would like to thank everyone who sent in suggestions when we went through a public consultation process earlier this year.”
