Police appeal for information relating to Haslam Park stabbing

Police are appealing for information following the attempted robbery of a teenager who was attacked with a knife in Preston.

Around 3pm Monday 16 November a 16-year-old boy was approached by two teenage boys riding bikes in Haslam Park.

The boys attacked the victim with a knife, causing a small chest injury.

He was later treated at Royal Preston Hospital.

The first offender is described as being of slim build, 6ft tall and around 16-years-old. 

He was wearing a full grey tracksuit with his hood up and a patterned balaclava covering his face.

The second boy was described as 16-years-old, white, 5ft 7in tall, of large build with scraggy black hair and facial hair. 

He was wearing grey tracksuit pants and navy raincoat.

Detective Constable Emma Fewtrell said: “This was an attack on a boy who was simply walking home.

“We’re working to establish who was involved and would ask that anyone who has information gets in touch with us as soon as possible.”

Police want to speak to anyone who was in the park on this date and time who may have information which may lead to the identification of those responsible.
