A man’s body has been found under a motorway bridge near Broughton.

LancsLive report that police confirmed the news earlier today (Sunday 8 November).

Police were called to the eastbound slip road of the M55 at junction 1 by North West Ambulance Service after the man’s body was found on a pavement by the roundabout.

The road was closed for over three hours while teams investigated the scene.

Lancashire Constabulary said the death is not thought to be suspicious.
