Leyland resident fundraising for potentially life-saving cancer treatment
Leyland-based Kim Eccles and her partner are in the midst of raising funds for potentially life-saving treatment for Kim.
In August 2020, Kim was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare tissue disease which is found in only 1 per cent of the adult population.
Her tumour is aggressive, and once it has spread, will be completely incurable.
Two men appear in court charged with murder of Adam Le Roi
Detectives investigating the murder of a 25-year-old man in New Hall Lane have charged two men.
Connor Rumble, 25, and Grant Gardner, 24, were charged late on Monday (16 November) with the murder of Adam Le Roi.
He was found with stab wounds to the chest at a flat in Kayley House, in New Hall Lane, Fishwick, at 2.20am on Sunday (15 November).

Suspected arson at former Royal Garrison pub in Fulwood
A joint investigation into a fire at the former Royal Garrison pub is underway.
Preston Police and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service are looking into the suspected arson, which took place last night (Tuesday 17 November).
Firefighters were called to the derelict building in Sir Tom Finney Way in Fulwood at around 8.40pm.
Ashton-on-Ribble ale bar served ‘hefty’ fixed penalty notice for Covid regulations breach
An Ashton-on-Ribble ale bar has been handed a fixed penalty notice for breaching local Covid 19 restrictions.
Tulketh Tap Room in Tulketh Brow has been handed the ‘hefty’ notice for allowing groups of different households to mix inside the premises while Tier 3 restrictions were in place.
The notice was given to them after warnings to stop household mingling were ignored.
