How we’re supporting Preston and South Ribble restaurants and pubs switching to delivery

BlogPreston are urging people to order food locally where possible to support small businesses.

As Preston enters another lockdown and restaurants, pubs and bars shut up shop, many residents may be wondering how they can play their part.

Takeaway deliveries and collection services were a lifeline to many hospitality operators during the last lockdown, so Blog Preston wants to shout about the offerings of our local community.

To do this, we’ve partnered with InYourArea to be part of a national Order Local campaign.

There is a listings platform which allows hospitality businesses to list their takeaway offerings and advertise them to millions of readers, and the best thing? It’s free of charge to them.

If you’re operating a delivery or collection service, then you can fill in the form below to be added to the search tool.

From Friday there will be a search tool allowing you to enter your postcode to find local restaurants and bars on your doorstep to order from Preston-based businesses.

Any restaurant, bar, pub, brewery, drinks producer, cafe, bakery, farm shop or other establishment offering food and drink delivery or collections during lockdown can get involved.

It’s free to list your business and it will then start to appear for some of the 500,000 people across the UK who use InYourArea each day.
