‘Thank You Key Workers’ sign in Avenham and Miller Park

During the coronavirus pandemic, the nation’s focus has been on thanking the NHS and other key workers for the amazing hard work they do.

Unfortunately today (Friday 13 November), @ParksInPreston have reported the ‘Thank You Key Workers’ sign and flowerbed in Avenham and Miller Park has been vandalised.

The beautiful flowerbed and sign has been destroyed by vandals.

One angry Twitter user said: “Absolutely disgusting. Find them and make them pay for and replant everything, and pick every leaf up in Avenham!”

Preston City Council said their fantastic team will restore the sign and re-plant the flower bed.
