Coronavirus infection rates in Lancashire have continued to fall in latest figures.
Preston saw a daily increase of 112 new cases for Tuesday (3 November) – as the coronavirus stats were delayed due to a technical issue with the government website.
This was the second-highest daily increase in Lancashire.
However, figures from the BBC show how all areas of the county are seeing their infection rates drop.
Preston’s infection rate, for the cases per 100,000 people in the seven days to Saturday (31 October) was 451.3.

South Ribble’s new Covid-19 cases recorded yesterday were 63.
The borough’s infection rate, according to BBC figures, is now 337.6 per 100,000 people and the fourth lowest in the county.

A second national lockdown begins at 00.01am on Thursday (5 November) and will last until 2 December.
Non-essential shops, pubs, bars, restaurants and many other facilities and businesses must close their doors under the new restrictions.
