A crash between a car and a lorry in Ashton-on-Ribble has been causing slow traffic this morning.

Emergency services were called before 9am this morning (Wednesday 7 October) to the scene of the incident on the mini-roundabout where Tulketh Brow joins Waterloo Road.

A young woman was taken to hospital, but a spokesperson for Lancashire Police confirmed it was a minor injury collision.

A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 8.45am to reports of an RTC between a car and a lorry.

“We sent one ambulance to the scene and treated a female patient in her 20s and took her to hospital.”
