Dozens of bunches of flowers have been left in tribute to a teaching assistant at a Fulwood primary school.
Mrs McMullen, who worked at Fulwood and Cadley Primary School for 20 years, passed away last month.
Pupils and parents, and staff members, laid flowers which covered benches in the peace garden in memory of the teaching assistant and member of the Parent Teacher Association for the primary school in Black Bull Lane, Fulwood.
Headteacher Miss K Stewart led the tributes, saying in a statement: “Mrs. McMullen was loved by both staff and pupils for her wonderful sense of humour, bubbly nature and her passion for art, gardening, cooking and most famously her singing which could be heard all around the school.
“She will be so greatly missed and will leave a huge hole in our hearts as in some way she touched everyone.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and I ask that you support the children as we begin to share this sad news with them in the morning (September 28). I would like to emphasise that this is not related to COVID.”
