Reports of youths setting off fireworks across Plungington and Fulwood triggered a police response during Saturday evening.
Officers found a stash of fireworks on the small children’s play area and park just off Brook Street – close to Blackpool Road.
A police spokesman said: “You reported it, we’re looking into it.
“Residents around Plungington have reported youths setting off fireworks.
“We’re still out looking. We found a stash of fireworks on the Brook Street park. These are seized and now off the streets.”

The reports on Saturday (24 October) evening of fireworks being set off follows footage posted on the We Are Fulwood Facebook group of fireworks being thrown at cars.
During Friday (23 October) evening there were reports of fireworks being thrown at cars in Watling Street Road.

Anyone experiencing anti-social behaviour in relation to fireworks can report to the police on 101.
