Nostalgia, in Fylde Road, has been ordered to close

Nostalgia cocktail bar has been ordered to close to protect public safety under coronavirus regulations.

The nature of any breaches has not been revealed, however the council said the order was in response to “a serious and imminent threat to public health” and was “necessary for the purpose of preventing, protecting
against, controlling or providing a public health response to the incidence
or spread of infection by coronavirus.”

The venue, in Fylde Road, has been ordered to stop serving from 6pm on Friday October 9 with the order lasting until January – however it will be reviewed in seven days’ time.

Lancashire County Council confirmed it had used its powers to shut down the venue – which formerly housed Bitter Suite – under the Coronavirus Regulations 2020.
