One of Preston’s most popular gastropubs is to go into new ownership.
The Meat and Drink group have handed back The Plungington Hotel in Lytham Road, Fulwood.
Operated since 2016 and taken upmarket, with boutique gins, a large-scale gin festival each summer and a new dining area the pub is to be operated by new management.
A refurbishment of the pub begins from Monday (5 October).
A statement on behalf of the former Plungington operators, who also operate Plau in Friargate amongst other city venues, said: “Some of you may have already heard; it is with great sadness that we have to announce that we are leaving the Plungington Hotel.
“We hope that over the past four and a half years we have given The Plungington a little bit of sparkle.
“We think its a wonderful pub, with great customers and really is the cornerstone of the community in the area. We would like to thankyou all for your support and friendship over this time, we will sincerly miss you.”
