A house building company has provided some vital support to The Salvation Army Preston foodbank over lockdown.
Stewart Milne Homes donated £500 to the foodbank which will support 40 families a week in the Preston area.

Over the lockdown period, referrals to the foodbank doubled as families faced uncertainty over job retention and further challenges came from a significant drop in donations from the public.
The donation will help the charity replenish its reserves following its busiest year on record since opening 12 years ago, helping local people receive parcels of non-perishable food and toiletries.
Claire Bowerman, Community Centre Co-Ordinator at the Salvation Army, Preston, said: “We are so grateful to Stewart Milne Homes for this financial donation as it enables us to source the items that we need the most.

“Without the continued support from people and organisations such as Stewart Milnes Homes we would not be able to help as many people in our community as we do. During this challenging time, it has become more apparent than ever how vital the foodbank is for those in need.”
