A man who was found outside a Southport convenience store ‘covered in blood’ claimed he was dumped there after being abducted in Preston.
AdvertisementStaff were alerted by members of the public at the One Stop shop in Rufford Road in the Crossens area of the town on October 28.
They looked after the man until police arrived at the scene.

Lancashire Police confirmed they were called at 6.53pm 28 October to reports a man in his 50s had been found with facial injuries in Southport.
A spokesperson told the Liverpool Echo: “The man reported he had been taken from Fish Street, Preston, and transported to the junction of Rufford Road and New Lane, Southport.
“While in the vehicle the man was subjected to an assault and suffered facial injuries.
“He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.”

People took to social media to report they had seen the man outside the shop covered in blood.
