Longsands Community Primary School is organising a scarecrow trail and inviting the local community to take part.
The Fulwood school’s Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is encouraging people to get involved with the event during October half term.
Lesley Cooper, Chair of Longsands PTFA, said: “The scarecrow trail is a way to cheer us all up and give the kids something to do with their family bubble over the holiday week.
“It’s a fun family thing to do that’s Covid-safe, and it’s open to both the school and local community involved.”
If you want to join in the fun and make a scarecrow, email longsandsptfa@gmail.com by Wednesday 14 October.

The trail will be open from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November. There will be clues to follow and prizes up for grabs.
Maps will be available from Longsands Pharmacy, Tesco Fulwood and Anderson Arms for £1 each from Friday 23 October. All proceeds will go to Longsands Community Primary School PTFA.
