Set to start on Sunday 25 October, the scarecrows will be in place for a week, with prizes available to win.

There will be a prize for the best scarecrow, chosen by judges and a draw for all completed maps.

Trail maps will be available for download on phones, tablets and computers from Saturday 24 October. The decision to make them downloadable was to limit the handling of maps during the ongoing pandemic.

However, if people are unable to download the maps, they can contact the We Are Fulwood team for a paper version.

Anyone wanting to enter a scarecrow can send an email to fulwoodscarecrow@outlook.com with their name, address and intended theme. Details of scarecrows must be sent by Sunday 18 October to be included on the map.

Scarecrows must be child friendly and with the theme of a children’s character. They can be on their own or as part of a scene.

Entry for scarecrows is £5 and the team is also asking for donations to the JustGiving page, to raise money for the Baby Beat Appeal.

Join the Fulwood Scarecrow Trail Facebook event to keep updated.
