Emergency services presence at Preston Docks as body recovered

A body has been found in Preston Docks during Wednesday (7 October) morning.

Update: Police say body found in Docks was missing Blackpool man

Preston Police were called to the scene at around 9am to reports of a body at Mariner’s Way, Ashton-on-Ribble.

There is currently a large presence of emergency services on the scene and enquiries by the police are ongoing.

A police spokesperson told Blog Preston: “We were called at shortly after 9am today (Wednesday, October 7th) to a report of a body in the water at the docks on Mariner’s Way in Preston.

“Police are at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.”

Pictures sent to Blog Preston showed emergency services removing a body from the Docks. We have decided not to publish these out of respect for those involved.
