A 17-year-old has been arrested in relation to the possession of a large hunting knife.


The male was caught by police after a foot chase through the streets of Broadgate on Friday (23 October).

The arrest comes as Tac Ops officers were in Preston assisting with knife crime operation, Op Edge.

A spokesperson for Preston Police said: “Top tip for those criminals out there… If you’re going to run away from the Police, make sure that you are fast enough to get away!

“One male this evening wasn’t, and after a foot chase through Broadgate, he was arrested after throwing this deadly knife!”
