Asda Fulwood is set to gain an aisle dedicated entirely to plant-based products.
Asda recently announced it would become the first UK supermarket to launch a vegan-only aisle.
A spokesperson for Asda Fulwood has since confirmed the store in Eastway will go live with the aisle around Monday 19 October.
The aisle will consist of savoury products including proteins, cooking sauces and condiments on one side, and snacks and sweet lines on the other.
In addition the supermarket will be launching 104 new plant-based products, including Asda own label meal pots, as well as a number of brands such as Mrs Crimbles, Vego, two exclusive Galaxy flavours, and an exclusive new Falafel Mix from Bosh.
Asda is making the move after its own research in January 2020 showed 17 per cent of UK households are reducing their meat intake or following a plant-based diet. Searches on asda.com for vegan lines are up 275 per cent since 2019.

Sarah Thornewill, Asda’s Buying Manager, said: “We understand that customers want a quick and simple shopping experience, and this shouldn’t be restricted by dietary requirements.
“By merchandising all our vegan items together, we hope to save customers time and offer inspiration, whether for those following a plant-based diet, or those looking to reduce their meat consumption.”
