Lee Mark Jones brings his show to the city as part of The Ferret’s socially-distanced autumn season of live gigs which begins on Thursday September 17, with dream-pop outfit Audreys Dance.
A Rock ‘N’ Roll Suicide sees Lee Mark Jones retrace his life as a nearly-rock star against a backdrop of videos and scenes from his early life, while belting out songs from his punk, glam and rock career.
It’s a story of a man who comes to terms with himself after the diagnosis of an undiagnosed condition ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) that unknown to him, has defined his life.

Lee Mark Jones said: “I intend to attract a new kind of audience which does not usually go to the theatre; an audience craving strange journeys of darkness, horror, suspense, and wonder.
“All these thrills we will provoke into life, in the flesh, breathing and bleeding on stage, and right in your face.”
This show, full of anecdotes from the internationally-acclaimed rock and pop stars Lee has met and worked with, has been re-written, re-developed and re-worked by award-winning theatre maker Chris Thorpe and will tour all over the UK from March 2020 taking in rock festivals, clubs, pub social and Labour clubs and community centres.

The unique autobiographical show came to the city as a work-in-progress in May 2019 as part of Lancashire Fringe Festival before taking Edinburgh Fringe by storm and was scheduled to return in March before it’s forced cancellation due to Covid-19 lockdown.
The show was featured in Rehearse App Magazine’s Top 10 Things to see at the Edinburgh Fringe and The LIST – Top picks for Week 1 of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
