Stagecoach bus routes have returned to normal after services were suspended on Fishergate Hill following multiple incidents of bricks being thrown at buses in that area.

The incidents took place in early September.

A spokesperson for Stagecoach said: “Early September we had a number of incidents¬†where bricks were thrown at buses in the evenings on¬†Fishergate¬†Hill.

“These incidents were reported to the police and we worked in partnership to try and stop this.

“To ensure the safety of passengers and staff services were diverted from Fishergate Hill for a period of time during evening hours. Services are now operating the normal regular route.”
