Preston man arrested after shots fired in Deepdale

Police cordoned off Elgin Street after members of the public reported hearing gunshots

A man has been arrested shots were fired in Deepdale last month.

The 28-year-old from Preston was detained on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent at an address in Preston.

He is now in police custody.

The incident happened at around 3.30pm on Sunday 30 August.

A firearm, believed to be a shotgun, was discharged twice.




No-one was injured but four men, wearing balaclavas, were later seen making off from the scene in a silver Land Rover in the direction of Garstang Road.
