Kind-hearted neighbours have rallied around an elderly Penwortham resident who was tricked into paying £600 to have a hedge trimmed.
The group, led by Darren Fox, is aiming to recoup the money, and has so far raised £440.
In a video posted to Facebook, Darren described how he was “raging” when he heard what had happened.
He said: “It’s been brought to my attention that an elderly lady had a knock on the door from two men offering to do gardening work, to which she agreed.
“The guys did the work and then decided they were going to charge this vulnerable lady a massive amount of money for very little work.
“She paid out of intimidation and to get them off the doorstep, which I’m sure anyone in that situation would have done.
“I’m raging about it. This sort of thing makes my blood boil.”

Darren, who said he’s “never done anything like this before” decided to try to help by setting up a Go Fund Me page.
He said: “I know times are hard and everyone is struggling, but that makes it even more important to try to get this lady’s money back.
“Even if it’s a quid or 50p, anything we can get would be appreciated. And if people can’t afford it, then sharing the link to the Go Fund Me would be great.
“I’m going to do everything I can to get the money.”

Darren said he has been shocked by the support received so far.
“I’m blown away by the generosity. I’m sure this will restore a little faith.
“It would mean a lot to get to the £600 target, but just to get anything back is a bonus.”
