Team members at Co-op Funeralcare in Ashton-on-Ribble completed a 12-hour bike ride from inside the funeral home to raise funds for people living with mental illnesses.
AdvertisementFour colleagues took turns to each complete a three hour cycle on an exercise bike in the window of the funeral home, raising ÂŁ155 for Lancashire Mind.

The fundraiser, which took place at the branch on Blackpool Road, also involved a bake off, where colleagues went head to head baking sweet treats.
Additionally, two managers undertook a sponsored 5K race, dubbed “the battle of the bosses” by colleagues.

Jane Ross, Regional Manager at Co-op Funeralcare in Preston, said: “We’re so pleased with how the local community in Preston came together to safely support a cause close to all of our hearts.
“Mental health concerns are increasing within our community, with the COVID-19Â pandemic continuing to have a negative impact on many people.
“The work that Mind does is truly admirable, and we look forward to continuing to support them with similar events in future.”
