A new project is set to connect Prestons around the world.
AdvertisementPreston Calling is being run by Derelict with the aim of discovering the similarities and differences between the 60 villages, towns and cities around the world called Preston.
The project began in June with the team finding willing participants in online community groups for each Preston around the world.
Each person was then asked the same questions and asked for key personal information and a photograph.
Phil Sykes from Derelict, which is based at UCLan‘s Media Factory, said: “We know that many of the Prestons around the globe and their residents will share similarities.
“Preston Calling is asking questions to one individual from each Preston to discover what unites and separates them.
“From Cuba to Canada, we are discovering the amazing stories of people from all of the 60 Prestons.”
A Preston Calling podcast will be launching soon, with each participant discussing their Preston at greater length.
