The Rotary Group of Longridge and North Preston are currently hosting a fundraising raffle to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Charity.

Unfortunately due to the coronavirus outbreak, this year’s event, which had been scheduled to take place in July, had to be cancelled.
Andrew Dunn, from the Rotary Group of Longridge and North Preston, said: “The sportive is a non competitive ride over a marked route, this year was 100 miles over three counties and was promising to be well attended as we had quite a number of entries on British Cycling before the lockdown.
“Because we run the sportive under British Cycling’s insurance we could not run it as we would not be covered under their current restrictions.

“We have also had to cancel our Cyclocross race event for the same reason, this normally brings around 500 competitors from all over the country.”
Instead, the group is raising money through a new raffle which will see the winner take home a Dolan ADX Disc bike, worth over £3,000.

Tickets for the raffle are £10 each and all proceeds will go to the charity which funds groundbreaking research into prostate cancer, a condition which several members of the Rotary group have suffered from in the past.
The draw will close on Wednesday 2 September, 2020.
