On Monday 14 September at 12pm, balloons will take off from Red Square, Moscow, and children and parents can watch their balloon’s journey for seven days.
Baby Beat, the charity which supports mothers and babies on Lancashire Teaching Hospital’s neonatal and maternity units, is appealing for anyone who can get involved to join them in the Virtual Balloon Race.

“We want to encourage people to join us on Monday 14 September, as this is a fun way of spending some time with little ones, learning some geography and having a laugh in the name of a good cause.
“My children, Freya and Mikey, are already very excited for the race – although on the day, there will be no real balloons!”
