Coronavirus testing site closes in Fulwood as new facility opens in Walton-le-Dale

A drive-through coronavirus testing site is open at Walton-le-Dale Park and Ride.


The facility opened on Saturday (29 August) and will continue to operate for the foreseeable future.

Testing will be carried out on a a cordoned-off section of the Park and Ride site, which is based by the Capitol Centre.

The Park and Ride service will operate as normal while the testing facility is in place, with parking still available on the main car park.

Meanwhile the drive-through testing site at Preston’s College in Fulwood has closed, as students are set to return to study.

On Bank Holiday Monday (31 August), the drop-in testing centres at Issa Medical Centre in Deepdale and Preston Markets will be closed. They will open again on Tuesday 1 September.
