A teenager was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the head in Avenham Park on Monday.
AdvertisementAt 5:15pm, emergency services were called to a area close to the Old Tram bridge to reports the 17–year-old had been attacked with a knife.
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by ambulance, but his injury was not found to be serious and he was later discharged.
Police are now trying to identify his attacker.

A police spokesperson said: “It is believed that the offender was part of a group of four males who made off from the area in a black car.
“They are currently being sought by police.”
