A serving soldier is asking for help to track down his Afghanistan medal after it was stolen from his car in Deepdale.
AdvertisementCade Alexander, who serves with the Rifles Regiment, is currently on home leave after four months working on the ambulances.
Between 2am and 10am this morning (Thursday July 23) his car was broken into in St George’s Road and a number of items of clothing and personal possessions were stolen.
Cade said: “There were other things, including some expensive colour blind glasses, but I really want the medal back. It has a lot of sentimental value.”
The medal, awarded to Cade for carrying out active service in Afghanistan, is in a black box with a gold crown on it.
Anyone with information about the medal is asked to call Lancashire Police on 101 quoting log reference LC-20200723-0377.
